Nancy Poole (aka Nance) is a Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT-200), Chair Yoga certified, (pending) RPYT, and entrepreneur. She enjoys teaching uplifting, supportive, and fun yoga to all. Nance primarily guides Gentle/Moderate/Strong Hatha sequences, Power Vinyasa, Meditation, Yin and Restorative styles of yoga with a variety of asana and wellness classes that incorporate alignment, flexibility, strength, and—most importantly—mindfulness with self-healing.
Nance never forgets her humble beginnings. To survive, her parents were plucked from their home country and forced to "start over" in the aftermaths of the Vietnam War. As a young girl, the adversities Nance and her family faced instilled in her a strong sense of purpose to help those who cannot help themselves. When Nance graduated from UCLA and then obtained her pre-medicine post-bacc at Charles R. Drew University of Medicine & Science, she believed she found a passion in healthcare operations as she worked to "climb the corporate ladder" building over a decade worth of experience. However, she was still feeling unsettled. Nance began to reflect upon the time she discovered yoga in 2006 as a form of healing against bullying, low self-esteem, stress, and depression. In 2020, she rediscovered her practice and truly found her love for adventure and community that stems back from her upbringing. With pure intentions in her heart, Nance left her corporate directorship to build The Holō Collective and create a safe space for all to practice while building a strong sense of community, void of any judgement.
Nance is constantly striving to create a welcoming space and loves getting to know people at all stages of life. When she isn't teaching, she is learning. In her free time, Nance embraces quality time with her family, friends, and the joys of travel. She dabbles in photography (an amateur), digital art, and baking.
